Suzanna Aguayo

Producer

Suzanna has worked with the creative and business teams at Filmsight Productions since its inception.

Growing up in Los Angeles in a large family of artists, jewelry makers, and storytellers inspired Suzanna’s deep love of the visual and performing arts. Her introduction to filmmaking began when she got small roles on TV and commercials. Suzanna performed at the Los Angeles Actors' Theater, and the Latino Actor’s Lab, as well as trained with acting coaches from the Actors Studio and Sanford Meisner. When she decided to expand her art education she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study at the California College of the Arts where her partnership with Morgan Schmidt-Feng began. She majored in studio art at CCA and UC Berkeley, and holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Art Practice from UC Berkeley. She has taught art in Oakland public schools in Fruitvale, and served on the board of directors for a grassroots educational foundation that provides scholarships for Bay Area students. She volunteers for 350 Bay Area Action, a political and legislative movement dedicated to environmental justice.

Suzanna co-produced Filmsight’s documentary feature film, ON HER OWN (2016) and is currently producing, COVIDeos (2020), a unique storytelling project featuring the work of a talented group of artists and filmmakers.
